Estimated location of BMRF and date of resonance cascade
This is not canon, just my own speculation.
Half-Life (1998) takes place in New Mexico. The questions “Where exactly?” and “When exactly?” have been on my mind for a long time.
Finding a real-life location in NM that matches the game is impossible. The setting is a composite, inspired by several states — for example, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Washington. Canyons, mountains, a river, a hydroelectric power station, a reservoir, desert, and railway networks — all in one place.
The southern part of the state fits best. It’s hot there, which supports the surface temperature mentioned at the very beginning of the game: 8:47 AM — 93°F, daytime high — 105°F. The most likely month for such conditions is July, usually the beginning of the month. The wester…

The Sqearsquid also known as the Flying Healer (scientifically Enhydra maxillaris) was a enemy first appearing in Under Xen's Grasp.
Sqearsquids are minions of the Tyronix, the Lord of the Xen Wildlands. In the realm of the Xen Wildlands, the Spearsquids reign as stealthy predators, lurking in the depths of shadowed waters and soaring through the skies with unparalleled agility. These enigmatic creatures, shrouded in mystery and whispered tales, serve as loyal minions to the Tyronix, the formidable Lord of the Xen Wildlands.
Born from the depths of the abyss, Spearsquids possess a formidable arsenal of lethal capabilities. Their most distinctive feature is a razor-sharp, spear-like fin that slices through the air with deadly precision, capable of …

Events of the Half-Life series
The events of Half-Life 2 take place in 2020, and the events of the first Half-Life game takes place in 2001. That could mean that Gordon Freeman was 45 years old during the events of Half-Life 2 and its episodes. And to my calculations, Gordon Freeman was born in 1974.

Why do people keep hearing it wrong?
I've noticed a lot of people thinking Nihilanth says "alone not you" or "alone aren't you." Hell, even the black mesa remake got it wrong. What I want to know is how? Its clear that he says "Alone like you" on the first time he says it, but the second time does kind of sound like "Alone aren't you" but they both say "Alone like you." I never get this, is it like the yanny vs laurel thing? Is it just people hearing wrong? I've been editing Nihilanth's page to have it say the correct line, but I would like to know how people misunderstand it.
I might be stupid but
After looking at the beta stuff it seems like i`d be much more interesting than the final version or hell better at least fighting alien assains and combine gaurds sounds cooler than most of hl2
Half-Life board game
Hello, i wanted to share with the HL community a little project. The idea is to take the half life feeling in to a fun and entertaining board game.
I´ll leave you a preview of what a i made so far, i know it doesn´t look pretty but it´s work in progress, any suggestion is welcome.
Dr Gordon Freeman Voice Actor
If Half life 3 was in Development Actor Keanu Reeves should voice Dr. Gordon Freeman
Should I add Black Mesa images?
Do you think I should add Black Mesa images to the wiki pages regarding most Half-Life enemies?
I brought an Aperture Science wetwork character out of the Woodwork...on the Left4Dead wiki??!

Hold up, why do some people theorize that the Combine controls Xen?
Apparently some people theorize about the Combine having control over Xen. How would that work though? The G-Man's employers had control of Xen at the end of HL1, and if the G-Man was a representative of the Combine, he would just kill Freeman. On top of that, if the Combine had Xen, they would have developed local space teleportation technology from the portals just strewn all over Xen and the technology that Black Mesa's survey teams brought to Xen before the resonance cascade. They also would have probably converted at least one or two of the intelligent species inhabiting Xen (Eg, Alien Controllers, Alien Grunts) to be included in their arsenal of weaponized species.
As an rollback..
i helped many articles , here i suggest be an rollback you know why? 1) improving some articles 2) puting some articles half life stuff and portal 3)making some portal stuff 4)stoping vandal and spammer 5)be good and be kind. that's why i need be an rollback and an admin..
Portal leak drama
Portal Beta files have been tossed by the community a lot. On June 21st someone leaked a previously unreleased restoration mod of the original Portal beta on the Facepunch forums; http://archive.is/PHBSE The leaked beta contained the whole 2006 Portal Campaign (All test chambers and escape battle) and one map from 2005 which was lab_lvl3a.
'Project Beta Group', members of Facepunch's Half-Life/Source modding
A playable build with this content was given to ValveNewsNetwork to make a video about the history of Portal's development. In June 2006 VNN, without prior permission of the Project-Beta team shared the assets given to him with other users in the leak community, ultimately resulting in the content being leaked on Facepunch Studios and t…
Why are human video games so much more fun than video games from Equestira?
I think it's because all we have are board games and a fledgling version of the Internet.
Adrian x Moose III: Return of the Moose
It had been several months since the battle. Penile Steak, the Combine shotgunner, had fallen in love with Adrian, the falling in love event mutual and transcending the poop barrier. They were cuddling on the couch, while the moose kids starved to death as they locked themselves in the moose room on accident. The Combine soldier was so big and strong, like headcrab guts, and it comforted Adrian to be in the soldier's warm, thick arms.
Suddenly, Charles Stiles from Mystery Diners enter the cabin, and brutally murders Adrian's cactus. "i've placed a camera in your mother" Charles said, laughing like a cruel being in the tendencies of which are known in the raccoon mouse. "mY CACTUS YOU SICK FOK" screamed Adrian, breaking into tears as Penile …
Adrian x Moose II: The Combine Strikes Back
It had been two years since Adrian had found, saved, and mated with an eated moose (in that order). They had glorious little moose babies, one with a gas mask head with Adrian's eyes. They lived in a log cabin near White Forest, where Adrian was cooking from breakfast for his moose family. He cracked open some eggs and dropped them into a steel pan, drizzling some olive oil and kosher salt all over them. He hummed the tune of Sweet Home Alabama as he flipped them eggs like Duke Nukem flips some nukems. His moose husband was still half eated, and for good reason, because he was eated by a combine soldier. Who was diddly darn dead in the dirt. Adrian did respectfully bury him and his comrades behind the cabin, since they didn't choose to joi…

Gravity Gun bug
In HL2, you can grab and drop an object quickly with the gravity gun, and you can get it to be picked up, without the gravity gun in its OPEN state, it looks as though it just didn't try to trigger the animation. Weird isn't it?
So here is Hl3/Ep3
https://pastebin.com/q9DMFa7c http://www.marclaidlaw.com/epistle-3/
After all this time, we finally get the end, albeit in writing.
what are your thoughts everyone?
i have made a Half life 2 Xbox 360 theme download it here
http://www.mediafire.com/file/uk7owcn555sqw2r/HL2_Theme just put it on a usb drive then plug it in your Xbox 360, click on your drive and go to the themes folder then just copy it to internal storage.
Something Strange....
i found something weird when i was going through my user settings for the orangebox, there was a file called bonus_maps_data.bmd
does anyone know what this is? im just curious.
Why HL3 wont be released
Obviosly it would make so much money it would deflate the dollar. And what would GabeN do with so much money when it isnt worth anything.
A simple question to the wiki community
Is there some sort of a Half-Life fan wiki on which you can make like custom characters/places/etc.?
Sorry for the bad english, im from Poland :/.

Gary oldman as Gordon freeman
I think in a Live Half life Movie I think Gary Oldman should play Gordon Freeman
It says my account oes not exist, even though it's obvious it does.
This is weird, please fix this later, its very confusing.
How many years after Portal 1 does Portal 2 take place?
I've been wondering about this for a while, and from what I've seen, it's anywhere from 20 years - 50000 years. I think 200 years seems good, but the state of the relaxation chamber seems a bit good for 200 years. The same thing goes for paper and wood. And what about Chell's clothing? I'd like to hear what you think, and why.
