Chuck Jones was illustrator, concept artist and 3D artist for Half-Life and Counter-Strike. Formerly a tattoo artist (he tattooed Jerry Cantrell of rock group Alice in Chains), he joined Valve from Apogee/3D Realms where he has been an artist, animator and conceptual artist for Duke Nukem 3D, Rise of the Triad and Shadow Warrior.[1]

He designed several Half-Life NPCs, from the Snark to Gordon Freeman himself. He also worked on creature designs for Quiver, Half-Life’s predecessor.[2] He also worked on Counter-Strike and an early Team Fortress 2 build, Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms (the Heavy and Pyro classes).[2] He then moved to Midway Games.[1] He currently lives in Seattle.[3]
