Administrators

Administrators, sometimes called system operators or sysops for short, are members of the community charged with maintaining the smooth operation of the Wiki. They can protect pages, ban users and IPs, and delete pages from the system. Administrators are are considered by some to be the "leaders" of the site, for lack of a better term..

When you have a problem or question regarding the site, an Administrator will help you any way he or she can.

Angela, Splarka, and several others are Wikia staff who frequently visit this Wiki. They have sysop rights to every wiki in the network. See this category for a complete list of Wikia staff. NOTE: Please do not message them about local issues. The above Administration will deal with minor problems.

Becoming an administrator

Administrators are selected on an as-needed basis only. As the project grows, more administrators may be needed to assist in its operation. There are no official criteria to become an administrator, however there are a few basic guidelines. When an administrator is needed, one will be selected from the rest of the users who:

• Have an account on Half-Life Wiki for some time
• Is an active contributor
• Has no history of vandalism or abuse

Again, administrators are only selected when one is needed. This is usually a judgement call made by EVula, the local bureaucrat, unless the community makes it clear that more administrators are warranted.

Bureaucrats

A Bureaucrat is an administrator with the additional responsibilities of granting (and revoking) rollback permissions and promoting users to Administrator.

Current Bureaucrats

The first bureaucrat of this site, Donut THX 1138, adopted the site after it fell into inactivity and chaos. When he became inactive, EVula became the new bureaucrat, in an attempt to revive the project.
