Mirt is a Resistance mechanic and a minor character seen in Half-Life 2: Episode Two.

Mirt is a soldier and mechanic stationed at the White Forest Resistance base. He also helps patrol the White Forest base area. He is first encountered when he greets Gordon Freeman and Alyx Vance after they arrive at the base entrance before asking to keep Dog on patrol outside.

Before the Combine launched their main assault on the White Forest silo with a large force of Striders supported by Hunters, Mirt made several adjustments to the Muscle Car. Mirt added a rack at the back of the car for holding Magnusson Devices, which would be used to destroy Striders. He also modified the car to be picked up on Gordon's HEV Suit sensors to help him find the car, should he lose it in battle. Finally, Mirt modified the car's radar system to be able to detect Combine and Magnusson Device teleporters which sent an unlimited amount of devices to the field.

Later on, after the battle was won, Mirt was among the rebels celebrating in White Forest. He pointed out Gordon Freeman to the other rebels as he entered. He also informed Freeman that the Combine were falling back, and believed that this was the start of pushing them off of Earth completely.
