The Mil Mi-8 is a helicopter parked in a hangar at White Forest.

Overview

Found and prepared by Alyx Vance, it was to be used by her and Gordon Freeman to reach Judith Mossman and the Borealis right after the rocket launch. Before the duo could depart, they were attacked by Combine Advisors.

This helicopter appears to be a Russian Mil Mi-8 helicopter that seems to have been operated by the Vietnamese People's Air Force, given its roundel.

Behind the scenes

Concept art for Episode Three suggests that Gordon and Alyx will still use the helicopter to go looking for Mossman, crashing it in Arctic regions.
