Portal: Still Alive is an Xbox 360 Live Arcade exclusive edition of Portal released on October 22, 2008. It features the original game, with various new levels and 9 new achievements.

The additional content was modified from and based on the levels from the Portal: The Flash Version MapPack created by We Create Stuff[1] and contains no additional story-related levels. There was a slight change in the campaign, which included avoiding being crushed whilst going through a series of engines.


The game has 12 achievements worth 200 gamerscore points.

Instructions: The player needs to avoid getting shot by turrets throughout the game.

Cause a rocket sentry to destroy its own rocket when the rocket has been redirected back towards it.
Instructions: The player needs to open a portal ahead and behind the Rocket Sentry and then align the laser at the portal.

Knock a turret over with a security camera.
Instructions: First, the player must shoot a portal at a camera ("vital testing apparatus"); it will fall on the floor. Then the player must put a portal above the turret sentry and another below the camera. The camera will fall on the turret knocking it over.

Trap yourself in a test chamber so that GLaDOS has to help you continue.

Test Chamber 04: In the beginning, lock the door with 2 cameras and the cube. GLaDOS will open the door.
Test Chamber 05: Open the exit door, shoot a portal through it, then place the cubes through the orange portal.
Test Chamber 11: After getting the fully-powered portal gun, the player needs to enter the room with the energy ball launcher. Fire both portals inside the room, and let the door close.
Test Chamber 13: The player needs to get both cubes into the small starting room, and then move into the main chamber and place both portals in there.
Test Chamber 14: Get the cube, then put it on top of the victory lift.
Test Chamber 15: Once the player reaches the room with the slow moving lifts and the energy pellet, hit both buttons to reveal the ball receiver and travel there. The doors will close automatically.
Test Chamber 17: After the player places the companion cube on the switch closest to the incinerator, they need to go back in the level and find a few cameras. Then the player brings them back to the small room with the switch that activates the incinerator and carefully places them inside the doors. Remove the cube from the switch, and the cameras should keep the door propped open. (try again if the cameras fall out). If the player squeezes through the opening of the doors with the cube and remove the cameras while they are still inside, the doors will close, locking the player in until GLaDOS opens them.

Test Chamber 18: Once at the large room with the turrets and the energy ball launcher, after the turrets have been knocked over, press the button, and then quickly jump on the on the button's stand and into the energy ball catcher while the door is still open. Once inside, the door will shut, and will open once GLaDOS is done talking.

Dissolve a turret.
Instructions: The player needs to take a turret, especially the last one, through the Material Emancipation Grill before the elevator.

Instructions: The player needs to find a clipboard with a red "Failed" stamp on it; when looked at closely, an icon on the clipboard features the chicken.
