The Quiver Creature is a Xen creature cut from Half-Life. It only made it to the conceptual phase so it was never modeled or scripted.
Overview[]
In Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar, Valve describes the creature as a concept for Quiver, an unreleased version of Half-Life (also known as the Half-Life Alpha). It was to have alien decapods and a big horn. The tentacles were also used as its main weapon (though reused for the Tentacle.) It was to also have armor on its back being able to take a number of bullets and possibly explosives with the only way to kill was was shoot it in the facial area (similar to the Combine Guard).
