Combine[]

Who keeps putting Xenian military units as combine units? Back yourself up or stop. —Unsigned comment by 96.253.162.215 (talk | contribs)

Maybe they believe that Grunts can easily qualify as synths?--Amitakartok 18:47, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Xen tech[]

it seems unlikely that Xen has the technology to manufacture sentient beings. Excuse me? Organic weaponry has been shown extensively in HL1- it's only natural that it would include something similar to cloning. Snarks? Organic weaponry. Hivehand? Organic weaponry. Healing shower? You tell ME that that thing's natural. 109.76.12.91 19:08, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Human Error[]

Maybe it's worth mentioning these Grunts were an enemy in the HL2-mod Human Error. They were on the side of the Resistance.

Combine Soldier[]

I think the Alien Grunt is a product of Combine technology. No, I'm not the guy who kept listing them as such, but I agree with them. Here's how:

So, we know that the Vortigaunts' original home world was taken over by the Combine, forcing them and the Nihilanth to flee to Xen. Now, on Xen, we can see the Alien Grunts being made in a factory of some sort. How do we know that this factory was not made by the Combine, then taken to Xen so the Nihilanth could use it? After all, the Combine are known for turning other bents into soldiers.

And that's why I, too, think that the Alien Grunt is a product of Combine technology.
