Changed[]

I've completely changed this page hope noone minds but it was a bit rubbish before —Unsigned comment by 128hoodmario (talk | contribs)

I'm going to read it over, but it looks better I think. The only problem I see is it contains quite a few grammar errors and a red link, though I will fix that for you.--YabbaMyIcing 19:45, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Alright, now I cleaned up some of the page and changed some wording, but I think it looks much better now than it did before.--YabbaMyIcing 19:55, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Description?[]

Hey all, do you think we should include some description of what a resonance cascade is? This is probably the best description I can find - http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/108436 - Thirdwheel 05:51, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Missile[]

"when he launched a large missile into Xen" - I have a problem with that. Particularily because it's said that the rocket Gordon launches is meant as a SDS - Satellite Delivery System. Therefore, Gordon doesn't 'launch a large missile into Xen', does he now?

If I remember correctly, the science team in Lambda Labs needed this satellite in orbit (for whatever reasons, I don't know; it may have something to do with targetting the Xen homeworld for displacement).

I distinctly remember one of the Barneys saying something about it.

*searches for a few seconds*

Yup. Here it is, straight from the audio script:

"One of your scientist pals said to give you a message. You’re supposed to take this old rail system up to some kind of satellite delivery rocket. I don’t know where it is exactly, and the old guy was so worried about getting out of here alive he didn’t tell me. The main thing is, the military aborted the launch, so when you do find the rocket, you'll have to get up to the control room and launch it yourself. He said something about a Lambda team needing the satellite in orbit if they were ever going to clean up this mess."

I'm not going to change it in-page (I'm used to bots reverting minor changes based on ip-instead-of-nick), so please check this?

Op4 and Blue Shift[]

Does the cascade appear, or is it mentioned, in Blue Shift or Opposing Force? Bramblepath 20:45, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

The closest it gets to appearing is in Blue Shift. It starts when you're in an elevator with two scientists, and suddenly, things stop working and and you see aliens being teleported, and the elevator crashes. The events of Opposing Force, on the other hand, start a little after the cascade, when soldiers are being sent in.
However, when it comes to being mentioned, I'm sure it's mentioned by some scientists in both games. Smelltheashes 22:54, December 4, 2010 (UTC)
Hm, thanks. I added them as mentioned only. Bramblepath 10:36, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
