Garry's Mod

I'm just wondering, do you have Garry's Mod as well? Maybe we can play together

Not anymore, unfortunately. I don't own GMod 10 and I haven't played GMod 9 in ages. --MattyDienhoff 03:24, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

I have it. See my profile for my account name. Add me and we'll play some time! "Frog blast the vent core!"--Commander Xillian 19:37, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Shotgun Soldiers

hey there. Well, shotgun soldiers do appear in HL2, and Episode two. as far as episode 1, I don't know, because I really haven't played episode 1 very much. but if I find a shotgun soldier in episode 1, I'll let you know.

And have a happy new year! --Charles II 20:11, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I have found many shotgun soldiers in episode 1 now that I've had the chance to fight some combine. (in the first few levels, you kill them with the super gravity gun before they can really get you too bad, and their guns disintegrate, so it's hard to tell what weapon they had.) --Charles II 19:19, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Did you notice that Shotgun Soldiers are not just "soldiers with shotguns" (which do indeed appear in all games), but "soldiers with shotguns who look different"? (Notice the red shoulder insignia in the image for example). --Anonymouse Lurker 20:03 GMT, 4 January 2008

Also, they have red-ish armor, and their lenses are red as well. Actually, they are a bit Maroon. "Frog blast the vent core!"--Commander Xillian 19:39, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for adding those categories. Nice to know I'm not the only one around here, even though it's always fun to see my name dominate the Recent Changes page. :) EVula // talk // 06:55, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

No thanks needed. :) There's still a lot of work to do on that front, this is the kind of thing that snowballs into a huge problem over time unless they're kept organised from the start. >_>

That said, I'm as guilty as anyone, those were my own uploads. --MattyDienhoff 14:48, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Just so I've got a bit of extra muscle...

How'd you like to be the first admin appointed in the new EVula Regime of the OverWiki? :)

We don't really have a community per se to dictate who does and doesn't get adminship, and you're fairly active. I'd like to have some additional administrators in place so that, if I'm not immediately around, the place doesn't go to hell in a handbasket. EVula // talk // // 17:10, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good! I appreciate the confidence. :) I have no experience as an admin, though, so don't expect me to act with much autonomy at first. --MattyDienhoff 04:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
That's okay. I remember my first few steps as a new administrator on the English Wikipedia (well over a year ago now)... I certainly didn't jump into it guns blazing. (now I'm an admin on four different Wikimedia sites in addition to this one, so the admin tools are as natural to me as editing) Like I said, I like knowing the project is covered in the event that I'm not around. I'd hate for some vandal to sweep through and have free reign just because I decided to hang out with friends instead of staying home. :)
Congrats, you now an administrator. EVula // talk // // 19:21, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Just a heads up

I'm going to be very, very busy in real life this week, so I won't be around very much. If you need anything, just drop me a line on my talk page and I'll swing through. I'll hopefully have more time for the site next week. EVula // talk // // 17:03, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Happy 18th BDay!

Happy 18th BDai Matty! Get any good loot from presents?

Thanks! :D
Just chocolates (good quality ones too), but that's my fault. I know this sounds weird, but I couldn't think of anything else to ask for. >_> --MattyDienhoff 16:05, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Matty, I don't know if you are the one to ask, but I tried experimenting a little on Template:Character Infobox‎ (an example of result, see Alyx Vance. However, the new section of the infobox looks a bit "off" compared to the other sections. Can you fix that? The code looks VERY confusing to me (and I've even seen a couple o' infoboxes in my life already) --ligemeget 10:16, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I see what you mean, the new sections are slightly out of line. I'm as lost as you (probably more so) when it comes to complex templates, so we'll just have to wait until EVula drops in and see if there's anything he can do with it.
I did manage to remove the extra </tr> that was appearing at the top of every page that used the infobox, though. --MattyDienhoff 17:49, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I see what you're trying to do, and I don't think it's possible. You can, however, split the "games" section up into three: GldSrc-games, Source-games and TOB-games or whatever. Don't know if that'll look better. --ligemeget 06:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Good idea, I'll try that. --MattyDienhoff 06:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Combine Units

I put some thoughts on the talk page. Klow 09:25, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

  • By the way, is that possible to be an admin, or at least be granted some privileges? There's a lot to be done, and I'd be more efficient. I heavily contribute to Wookieepedia and I'm an admin on Cloverpedia. I'm also 25, so I'm not a kid who doesn't know what he's doing. ;-) Klow 09:36, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't see any reason why not. I know what it's like to need to delete or move something without being able to, it's frustrating. I'll leave a comment on EVula's talk page, and in the meantime, just mark the things you need done and I'll try my best to stay on top of it all. --MattyDienhoff 14:19, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Spawning In-Game

Why did you delete the Spawning In-Game section? I've had some good feedback on it and it's really annoying when you want to spawn something but don't know how to do it. O.K the Elite and Prison Guards weren't to helpful I admit but other people can add to that if they know how which helps me and helps everyone else who wants to spawn that entity. Donovan-j-charlie 20:54, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

I did it because I think having such in-depth information about spawning entities is out of place in an encyclopedia article. You don't need to describe in detail how to spawn NPCs in each and every NPC article, because that information is of limited interest and can nonetheless be found in Console commands, where it belongs. (On that note, perhaps it would be a good idea to link to that from the 'entity name' infobox section?) Anyway, it's unnecessary to have an entire section to list entity names in each game because it could in most cases be compressed to fit nicely into the infobox.
For example, rather than listing the entity name for each and every game in the series, you could fit that information in the infobox because in most cases there are only two entity names. monster_headcrab and npc_headcrab for GoldSource and Source respectively, for example. Of course, there may sometimes be additional notes on the subject that wouldn't fit in the infobox, perhaps you could put those in trivia. Either way I think it'd be much neater done that way. I'm sorry to undo all your hard work, but it wouldn't have worked out this way if you had discussed the idea before carrying it out. I really, really prefer it if people would discuss big changes (or ones that affect a lot of articles, like this one) to see what others think of the idea before going ahead and doing them. --MattyDienhoff 04:49, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Chapter Locations

Hey dude whats up? My Chapter Locations to most enemies are GONE! What happened? Do you play Obsidian Conflict? Lets play there some day buddy. My user to steam is [CF] Echo Ciprioni. Badass of the Ciprioni Family. I have lost contact with the leader [CF] Corey Ciprioni though so i think the clan is out now. Anyaway we could hang out. I hang out on 2 servers there. I don't know the name though but I might pass it along some day. Also do you know how to get Deacy on the PC? Tried it myself on the website but it won't run, any idas? Please reply on the user name User:Mega Sean 45. Thank you. -- User:Mega Sean 45

"Do you know anyone who is an admin?"

LOL I got that from Team Fortress 2 Western on youtube. Anyway, can I be an admin? I have been editing stuff lately and I think I should be one too. Wat do u think? -- Mega Sean 45

To be honest I'm not sure if we need another admin, you'll have to ask EVula. --MattyDienhoff 04:22, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Decay port

If you're after Decay, check this out (in case you didn't already know).

"As of September 23, 2008, Decay has been successfully ported by the fan-based team at for the Half-Life engine. Download it on this page."

Doesn't that mean you can play it on PC? I downloaded it but it'll be a while before I try it.--ImWithFreeman 10:05, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Sounds like it, yeah. Wow. :O
I'll give it a try a bit later and let you know what I thought. --MattyDienhoff 11:18, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok cool. I've never played Decay but once I get Boot Camp on this thing I'll give it a go. Although I'm interested to see how they managed to make the coop work on one computer... Does one person use "awsd" while the other uses the no. pad or something? :P--ImWithFreeman 11:36, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Alright I'm off. Good productive day, huh? I mean I got next to no study done, but hey check out all those new articles :D Later dude.--ImWithFreeman 12:24, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

That is what I was saying to you on the chapter locations subject I did Matt. It's ok you didn't know. -- Mega Sean 45

Search engine optimization

Hey Matty, I just wanted to give you a heads up on the edit I just made to MediaWiki:Pagetitle. I've been assigned with dropping by the top 50 gaming wikis to edit that file in order to maximize traffic from search engines. Feel free to replace and/or add words as you see fit. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to shoot me a message. JoePlay (talk) 20:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I filled it out a bit, thanks for the heads up. --MattyDienhoff 22:04, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Hey again. After discussing search engine optimization with a couple other Wikia staff members who have experience with this kind of thing, we've decided that the long description may actually do more harm than good, and that using (in this case) "Half-Life Wiki - Combine OverWiki, your guide too everything Half-Life" is a better method. The most important thing is that the game's title appear first. Before I made any more changes to the file, I wanted to run it by you first. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. JoePlay (talk) 19:13, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I'll trim it down, then. Thanks again! --MattyDienhoff 23:53, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Could be you block this IP please: The guy is vandalizing pages, hidden behind his IP address, say we are wrong, without explaining why we are. Just block the troll, please. Look here: Special:Contributions/ Klow 16:34, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Klow 17:51, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism, again

This time from "". I have a strange feeling that this IP has something to do with the user Mega Sean 45, I don't know why. Can you see the IPs he's writing from and compare?... It's just that when you compare the his contribs and the contribs from the IP, they're never at the same time. And I think once he was connected with its proper username behind this IP. I don't know. Klow 22:07, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

About the IPs, no, I can't. Anyway what vandalism are you talking about? I checked that IP's contributions and I didn't find anything malicious, just some clueless/poor quality edits here and there. --MattyDienhoff 00:58, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Oops, I made a mistake. It's "". But I'm still pretty sure "" is Mega Sean, even though he's not the one doing the vandalism. Klow 11:42, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Alright, well, I blocked that IP for a week. We'll see what happens after that. --MattyDienhoff 14:00, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. But I think he'll reset his IP and will start again. I hate those guys who hide by not creating userpages and can't have a proper debate about what they consider wrong. Klow 14:04, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Could you have a look at this ? Fanon, isn't it?... Klow 18:32, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

You broke your link. :P
But yeah, that's definitely fanon. I tagged it for deletion. --MattyDienhoff 00:51, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Seven Hour War

I think there's way too much information about it in the wiki. Not much is known about this war, and I think some users are trying to fill the gaps with their fanon-made history of the war. What do you think? Did you see anything like that? Klow 12:53, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, we've seen a bit of that. One guy even uploaded some random image of a real-life UN armored vehicle and captioned it "A UN tank during the Seven Hour War". >_>
But that's an extreme example, and I don't think any significant speculation is still around, let me know if you find any. --MattyDienhoff 13:12, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Ok. For example, here. When or where do we get to hear or see background information about Magnusson?... Some of this info might be true, but as long as it's not said anywhere... Klow 14:05, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Good job on the White Forest page! Klow 16:58, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Any news from EVula or anyone else? You seem to be the only admin left. We'd be 2! Klow 11:54, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Three if they let me join. -- Mega Sean 45 03:56 PM December 10, 2008 (UTC)

My Half-Life Machimia wiki is going so well. So is it ok if we put You Tube movie information on this wiki?? -- Mega Sean 45 03:57 PM December 10, 2008 (UTC)

What do you mean, exactly, by 'You Tube movie information'? --MattyDienhoff 02:01, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm talking about discussing Half-Life shows from youtube, into this site. What do you think? -- Mega Sean 45 03:59 PM December 11, 2008 (UTC)
So, in other words, Fanon videos. That kind of thing has no place here. --MattyDienhoff 00:18, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Block Thanks. Klow 11:15, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Done. --MattyDienhoff 02:47, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Could I actually become admin? I know i'm only 14 (nearly 15) and alot of people think that because i'm only 14 I don't really know alot about anything, but I do. Half-Life is one of my strongest points. I have made some good edits such as adding a few walkthroughs and a couple of chapters. I have also made some bad edits which I should have run by/discussed with you or someone else in admin first such as the Spawning in-game section (thanks for not going mad at me, like some people would have). I know I probably won't become admin, but I was just wondering if I could. I also have alot of free time (most of the time, occasionally I will be really busy with Homework etc. but not very often as I do it during lunchtimes at school). So, just wondering... Also will create user page tomorrow --Donovan-j-charlie 01:06, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I'll consider it and discuss it with Klow, then let you know what we decide. :) --MattyDienhoff 04:52, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Do you want to see my show on [1]? Scanner Life made by Shroom Films. Or you can see Combine Rampage. You'll like 'em. What holiday do u selebrate? I selebrate Christmas. Happy Holidays! ;) -- Mega Sean 45 10:15 AM December 22, 2008 (UTC)

I'll take a look sometime, dude. I'm not online much right now because I've been playing GTA IV almost non stop since I upgraded. (An early Christmas present, hell yes!) Merry Christmas! --MattyDienhoff 17:35, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Thx! I apploijize for the miss canculation on the dates in the end. I don't understand milatary time. And what does UTC stand for? -- Mega Sean 45 09:14 PM (Regular Time), 22 December 2008 (UTC?)
Here. --MattyDienhoff 05:42, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Thx buddy. But I still don't know milatary time. LOL! :D -- Mega Sean 45 09:15 AM, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Plllzzzz could I be admin? I'll prove it to you that I can do it. Assault On Old Nova Prospekt doesn't belong here, neither does Attack On New Little Odessa, and I helped out delete Charging Station when there is already Charger, if you can soon let me prove I am responceable just contact me. And you can test me out. Thx and Merry Christmas! -- Mega Sean 45 05:22 PM, 24 December 2008

1: The value of the articles on individual battles is debatable, I'll discuss that later.
2: You created Charging Station when an article on that subject already existed. You made a sloppy mistake, but corrected it, so?
3: We've had this discussion before, and I said I think Klow is better qualified for the job. That hasn't changed.
Sorry, but I really don't have time to babysit someone who has no experience. --MattyDienhoff 08:22, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
Dude, I don't care who is better or not, just test me in the future (maybe). I have experience, but not good enough, lets just leave it at that. We'll disuss this later-on in the mean time lets just keep on making this wiki a betta place. Merry Christmas! BTW: I've never seen Charger so it was an accsdent. BTW2: Stay tuned for Shroom Films future machinima episodes. -- Mega Sean 45 07:34 AM, 25 December 2008
You're not qualified. Period. And I just don't see how being given more privileges would be useful to your contribs or the website. And you never reread yourself. You make huge spelling mistakes. English is not even my native language, and I don't think everyone here without exception noticed it. You're enthusiastic, cool, but that's not enough. You don't beg for being an admin, you deserve it. Users are never "tested out". They are tested before being given more privileges, not during or after. You have to be qualified in several fields before anything can be done. Otherwise anyone would be appointed and every wiki in the web would collapse. One could say a wiki has never enough admins, and if a new one is appointed one day, it will never be you. Merry Christmas anyway, I hope I didn't hurt you. It's not personal, I just wanted to be as honest as possible. Klow 14:31, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Er, because no one's thought to add it yet? Easy fixed. :) --MattyDienhoff 02:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

hey you know in Half-Life there are energy that is from the Xen Crystal and from the Vortigaunts, Nililanth and the Alien Controllers of Xen and also Xen turrets. But my question is there an conjecture article on this energy in Xen because it shown a lot times throughout the Half-Life series.Malekron 15:21, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Xen crystal. :)
That certainly qualifies as a recurring theme, in my opinion. --MattyDienhoff 01:58, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Also another energy is nuclear energy should also be a article and in the category of energy.Malekron 03:12, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Why? In what way is nuclear energy significant to the series? Nuclear explosions occur at a few points in the story, and radiation is sometimes an environmental element, but that's all I can think of. Nothing particularly significant. --MattyDienhoff 03:17, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Should we create an article about shoes? All the human characters wear shoes. Klow 04:27, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm not talking recurring themes. Also nuclear energy also files under the Gluon Gun and Tau cannon as depleted uranium. Plus it (in the form of a nuclear bomb) destroyed Black Mesa.Malekron 16:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't know if we should make an article about shoes, thats loco! -- Mega Sean 45 20:39, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Enemies article

Had an idea which is on Wikiraider (Tomb Raider Wiki). OK, on Wikiraider there is an article that lists all of the enemies in all of the games, comics, films etc. This really helped me when I didn't have a clue what all their names were. Would it be a good idea to have an article like this on the Combine Overwiki for people who may be new to Half-Life and don't have a clue about any of the enemies names? It would only take me a few minutes to do if it's alright as I know pretty much every HL enemy in every game. --Donovan-j-charlie 21:03, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Isn't that what Categories are for? I do think we should make that category more prominent (perhaps add it to the main page) and more clearly define enemies by game, but I don't think a list is the best way to do it. --MattyDienhoff 23:51, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
OK, how about we make a 'sub-category' called 'Half-Life Enemies', 'Half-Life 2 Enemies' etc. Not sure what we would do about the Opposing Force ones, put it in an 'Opposing Force' category? Or would that be to much?? --Donovan-j-charlie 19:21, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
I considered creating a seperate category for enemies in each game, but for the moment I've written off the idea, for two reasons:
  1. Most of the enemies appear in more than one game, so many articles would end up being added to almost every new 'enemies in game' category, which would get pretty messy pretty quickly. Anyway, which game each enemy appears in is already covered in the various enemy templates and the enemy articles themselves.
  2. If we sub-categorized enemies by game, we'd have to do the same for other elements like weapons (for the sake of consistency), and that could also get confusing pretty quickly.
Maybe that didn't make much sense, it's kind of hard to explain, but anyway, if you want to discuss it further, do it Category_talk:Half-Life_Enemies|here. --MattyDienhoff «talk» 08:23, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
OK will do :) --Donovan-j-charlie 11:40, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Resistance Vehicles

Hey do you think there should be a template on Resistance vehicles and the cut content included. Like this but without the traps TrapsMalekron 15:54, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Again, isn't that what categories are for? There are only a few resistance vehicles, and it's not worth making a template for a topic unless many articles there are many different articles to go in it, like Template:Locations. --MattyDienhoff «talk» 17:15, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
But there is also cut content like the C-130, the digger and the APC now only for the Combine forces.Malekron 20:00, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey Matty haven't talked to you in a while and I wanted to know how is it going? I haven't been on here in a while and wanted to know is there anything that needs fixing? Have a nice day/night. --Mega Sean 45 00:38, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello Again

Er, I'm alright. Thanks for the concern. >_> --MattyDienhoff «talk» 05:25, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

AR2 Article

You may know me as the guy who made that part in the AR-2 trivia about that it had simularities with the M4 {Ar-15}.Why exactly did you delete it??

Because the two have nothing to do with one another. You mistakenly believe they do because you apparently have a shaky understanding of these matters. You wrote:
"No doubt that this gun had got it's name from the M4"Ar-15" which also happens to be another assualt Rifle and shares the "Ar" in both their names."
Firstly, an M4 Carbine is not an AR-15. The AR-15 is an assault rifle design upon which the military M16 rifle is closely based, and the M4 is a variant of the M16. So the M4 is related to the AR-15, but it's not an AR-15.
Secondly, AR-15 stands for Armalite model 15, not Assault Rifle model 15 (If you don't believe me, ask Wikipedia).
Thirdly, the Pulse Rifle's internal designation "AR2" simply means Assault Rifle 2. It's a generic name. The "assault rifle" is an entire class of weaponry. The AR-15 -- as well as the M16 and M4 which are based on the AR-15 -- is just one of many assault rifle designs. The reason the Pulse Rifle is called 'AR2' comes from the earlier development stages of the game when there were going to be two assault rifles, the AR1 - which was an AK-47 and was to be the Resistance weapon of choice - and the AR2 - which was an XM-29 OICW and was to be the Combine weapon of choice. Both were cut and the Combine incendiary rifle was reused as the Pulse Rifle we know so well today, making it the only assault rifle, used only by the Combine, so it took over the OICW's designation, 'AR2'. See Weapons cut from Half-Life 2 for more info.
So as you can see the AR2 Pulse Rifle and the AR-15 have little in common and not even the meanings of their acronyms are the same. To assume they're related design-wise because their titles are similar is nonsense. --MattyDienhoff «talk» 05:25, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Featured Articles

I'm working on possible article structures before we nominate any FA. I'll start with characters. Then, enemies, locations, weapons, etc. Could you have a look on User:Klow/Sandbox/Article structures and tell me what you think?... Thanks! Klow 14:15, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Solid thinking throughout, I added a similar thing for the weapon articles (since I know they don't interest you much :D). On the question you posed below:
    • Tactics
      • Counter measures
  • or
    • Tactics / Counter measures ?
I say, the first one. --MattyDienhoff «talk» 05:43, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Why not merge the "Tactics / Counter measures" titles and choose one? Could you also suggest others too choose in the other titles with "/" and "?" ?... Klow 14:48, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I thought the two were seperate, that "Tactics" would discuss the tactics used by the enemy, and "Counter measures" would be the tactics that could be used against them, but I guess information about the enemy's tactics could go elsewhere in the overview.
On the other choices, my preference is bolded:
  • Appearances and role / Appearances

I have some problem adding pictures, do you know anything about it? HalfLifeveR 21:35, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

This tutorial should help. If it doesn't, let me know exactly what you're having trouble with and I can probably give you some useful advice. --MattyDienhoff «talk» 05:45, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

It's working now, thanks anyway! HalfLifeveR 17:00, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

No User

Bro, if there is something that needs editing in my personal account only I can edit. TELL ME FIRST. Thank you, and check out that Episode Three vids I made. --Mega Sean 45 11:56, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

While I realize it can be considered rude to edit a person's userpage without permission, removing a broken link is purely housekeeping and I don't see how you could object to that. It's not like I spellchecked or rephrased something you wrote or messed with image layout or added the cleanup tag or anything. ;) --MattyDienhoff «talk» 14:04, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Something is wrong with Klow

Matty, you might not know it but I was testing out Klow to see if he is Once of the best admins in the world, Wikia allowed me to test him out. Thats why I've been doing silly stuff on the wiki, it's for the best of Klow. Somehow, he doesn't believe me, neither I don't know why. We've been friends for who knows how long. You can help me out. Can you tell Klow, I am not joking around. I think he needs proof somehow. I also added you to my friends on youtube. Did you see my Fake Episode Three vids? It's a big hit! You got nice vids as well (not the best though to be honest). Please help me out Matty, help your ol pal Mega Sean 45. I even offered him something he wanted, he wouldn't listen. Thank you very much Matty I know you are One of the best admins ever!. BTW: If you think I really wanna to be admin. I don't anymore. I am already admin on one site already, IT'S HARD. I know what your thinking. Thanks for the help bro! --Mega Sean 45 23:38, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Firstly, your perception that we're friends is entirely one-sided, you're just an acquaintance and fellow contributor to me. Sorry if that disappoints you, I'm not trying to be mean, it's just true. :)
Secondly, no I haven't. Half-Life Machinima doesn't interest me.
And thirdly, I have I hard time believing Wikia would employ anyone to test administrators. Why would they need to? These communities are self-regulating and if there were any major problems with, say, corrupt admins letting their egos run away with them, ordinary contributors could notify Wikia staff of the issue to have it dealt with. Not only that, as long as you know what to look for, it's easy to tell just from looking at an admin's work whether they're cut out for the job or not, you don't need to troll them. And even if they did employ admin testers, I have a hard time believing they'd give the job to anyone as unprofessional as you (no offense, but your hijinks here, ostensibly to 'test Klow', aren't the only things you've done that are unprofessional. At times, if I didn't know better, I'd guess that English was your second language.)
Suffice to say, I believe that your revelation that you're some kind of Wikia-sanctioned angel sent to try admins' patience is just a more complex version of the "My cousin did it!" argument, and you'll have a hard time convincing me otherwise. Nice try! --MattyDienhoff «talk» 04:07, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Sean, if you mess around here again like you did way back I am going to ban you for a very long time. I'm getting sick of whatever you are doing here. This "test" is a total lie, I am almost one hundred percent sure of it. You have made no substantial contributions here, and seemingly only wish to promote your videos. Now you wish to start some flame war with Klow, someone who has put vast amounts of time and effort into this Wiki. Some important questions a;sp immediately arise. Why in the world would you have to test him when anyone paying attention can see the good he does? Why just him and no one else? Why do you suddenly start with this greatest admins in the world stuff?
The fact is, I think you still want adminship and seeing that the current bureaucrats do not wish to give it to you, you are pulling out this truly stupid ploy. That or you have turned to pure trolling out of boredom. That also explains why you are only annoying them and not me, because I don't have the power to promote you. Please just drop the matter and get back to contributing.--YabbaMyIcing 04:52, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Mega Sean. Or should I say Mini Sean. I laughed very hard with your nonsense yesterday, and I didn't even want to answer anymore, it was so pointless. But now it's getting less and less funny. Now you're saying something is wrong with me? We have always been very patient with you and your advertisement for your very poor videos, because that didn't hurt anyone. But now you're starting trolling and spamming our talk pages and taking your "greatest admin" nonsense on a higher level. This is just like the emails saying "Microsoft asked that you send this email to all your contacts or you will have to pay MSN messenger and a meteorite will crash on your house". A lot of people believe that "serious" organizations ask their users to do some job for them, while this is totally unprofessional, but don't think we are that kind of people. We really know better. Just stop wasting our time because it won't be funny forever and even though your absence from this Wiki would really help us improving it (no offense), I'd be sorry for you to see you blocked for an indefinite amount of time. And you could you at least tell us where you are admin? We'd be interested to see how you're pulling this. Klow 11:13, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Two words:

Featured articles. If you could help me reread them all, they might still contain spelling mistakes. Klow 22:42, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm on it. :) --MattyDienhoff «talk» 16:47, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I am asking you if you feel you may want a Half-life IRC channel? I am currently operating the freenode channel " #Half-life " and wish to surrender my power to your community. Please respond on my talk page, or on the channel.-- Forerunner 13:47, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

P.S.: Special:ProblemReports/24429 has not been declared "fixed" in like a month, I suggest you add the ProblemPages widget from your "Preferences".

I accidentally created an embarrassingly bad article and it must be deleted,I have no idea why I even tried to make an article on my first hour of being here but anyway please kill it.

--TheFreindlyCombine 12:41, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

BTW, I took care of it.--YabbaMyIcingTalk 04:22, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

User Page

Just so you know, your userpage is open to vandalism... Surely there's a way to prevent editing?

Sure, but I never felt the need to protect it. There's nothing a vandal can do that I can't just as easily revert, and my userpage is on my watchlist. :) --MattyDienhoff «talk» 23:55, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Returning to Half-Life Wiki

Hey MattyDienhoff, I can see that you have contributed a lot to the wiki in the past, any chance of a return? Adapool 11:31, June 10, 2012 (UTC)
