The Xen Grenade is a weapon featured in Half-Life: Alyx.
Overview[]
The Xen Grenade is a small teal mass of fleshy goop, produced from certain objects in the environment, once armed, it will start glowing, and making a clicking sound, before exploding with a rather large blast of teal light.
Tactics[]
In order to take the grenade, the player must quickly snatch it away from the grenade pod's hand or rub its belly and then take the grenade. It cannot be taken with the gravity gloves.

Behind the scenes[]
- The Xen Grenade's design appears to be based on that of the Hopwire Grenade, a cut weapon from Half-Life 2.
